Laid Down

Updated: Mar 30, 2022

What is a life laid down?

I get asked that allot.

When I kneel before the Lord this is what his sweetness showed me.

A life laid down is when The Holy Spirit says go talk to this person and they'll tell you where I'm sending you.... and you go.

They say, hey I feel like the lord wants me to tell you your going to Ethiopia.... and you go.

When the breath of God says go live in a land you have no desire to... and you go.

When you hear a friend is offended and speaks ill of you.... you love her still.

When a brother speaks unkindly to you and greets everyone but you.... you love him still.

When the Holy Spirit tells you leave everything you know and follow me here.... and you go.

When The Holy Spirit is beckoning you at 2:20am.... and you crawl out of bed and get into his presence.

When the Holy spirit calls you to give money to a ministry you don't know... you give.

When you lay every dream, every desire down at his feet because JESUS Is Enough.

I believe a life laid down whether its something like relationships, moving, finances or another country. Jesus is saying when we choose to lay our life down it means that no matter what is ask or required of us we simply respond with "YES"

Theres this sweet song by Phil Wickham "Falling In Love"

" The more l Praise You, The more I want to, I’m Falling in Love, Falling in Love with You. I Lay my Life down God, I am Yours now I’m Falling in Love, Falling in Love with You".

His LOVE is simply Enough! What he's DONE should mean everything to us!

I believe a life laid down in simply saying that all that Christ has done on the Cross is enough for us to say YES to anything he asks of us.

If I live my life anyway I want to then I've missed the point.

Ephesians 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

To be an imitator of Christ Jesus I must first lay my life down.

That a life lived, laid down in Love would be a fragrant offering and sacrifice to the One who gave me everything.

When we view our life through the lens of CHRIST LOVE, the why, the where, the who doesn't seem to matter any more. Our Love for him is simply a life of "YES"
